Benjamin Onawo Samuel is BOARD CHAIRMAN DOXA HOUSE YOUTH EMPOWERMENT AND INCLUSIVE DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE
With over 19 years experience working in NGO and development affiliated settings, Benjamin Onawo Samuel brings a seasoned experience with positive impacts to Doxa House Youth Empowerment and Inclusive Development Initiative. With a focus on growth and development he has championed the course in bringing DHYEIDI a 9 year old NGO into official recognition locally, nationally and internationally with an outstanding repute. He has built the capacity of key staff members and enhanced the organization of key activities that can improve partnerships both nationally and internationally. For him, growth and development is a work in progress that needs improvement by the second. Benjamin gained his Higher National Diploma in Computer Science the year 2006; he worked with the Nigerian Bible Translation Trust in 2008, as a language software consultant and IT assistant with an internship under the Nigeria Group (SIL) Seed Company. In 2010, Benjamin gained employment with the Nasarawa State Community and Social Development Agency (NSCSDA), an International Development Association and World Bank Group Assisted/Affiliated Community and Social Development Project as a Management Information System consultant. With high rate level capacity building and a hunger for growth and development, he proceeded to gain a Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology with the National Open University of Nigeria. In 2015, he gained employment with the Federal University of Nigeria and in 2018 resigned to continue with Social Development endeavors – a key interest area. In 2015, with an intensified need to further develop himself and his community, Benjamin applied to the University of Roehampton to study a Masters Degree in Information Systems Management. Since then he has exerted even more positive impacts in DHYEIDI, NSCSDA, International Internship endeavors; and has established some very reasonable international partnerships. Benjamin’s interests and dreams are in Information Systems consultancy, Digital Spaces and enhancements, High Level Programming and progressive growth and development. He has since 2015, been involved in an international partnership that focuses on research development, and online education. He is married with progeny and takes great delight in family life.
